  1. FINAL DESTINATION - A black ink and black color pencil drawing on a 11 x 14 size coquille board. It appears in the book, "Whispers in the Night," by Basil Copper.

About 200,000 years of human history has passed on this planet and from the very beginning each succeeding generation of people has had to deal with the acquisition of more new knowledge.

Our generation of scientists and explorers have learned more and made more technical progress than all previous generations combined.

Ours has truly been an age of wonder. I cannot image the extent of new knowledge or the kinds of technical advances future generations will acquire. And, can you imagine "knowledge" and "technical advances" having no end?

In his story, The Man Who Could Work Miracles, H.G. Wells wrote, referring to mankind, "and to think, only yesterday, they were apes".
